Snug Valley Coopworth Fingering

This semi-worsted fingering weight yarn will please knitters looking for a balance of drape and durability.  Smooth yarn with a fine, crisp hand, notable luster, and amazing drape.  Knitted up, it has great stitch definition and a light halo.  Some will find it acceptable next-to-skin but all will enjoy it as light outerwear.  The yarn base is a natural steely gray, which lends a saturated richness to the final hand-dyed colors that would be impossible to achieve with a white yarn base.

Three generations have tended Snug Valley Farm, tucked away in the hills of Hardwick, Vermont.  The verdant, well-managed land speaks to the experience and expertise of the enterprising Nottermans.  Long-time farmers of cattle and pigs, they inherited a small flock of Coopworth sheep from a friend and quickly took to shepherding.
